ROLE IN THE PROJECT
POLITO coordinates the ECOBAM project and is involved in different activities
The main contributions of POLITO unit will be:
- printing of specimens and parts with AM technology and optimization of print parameters ;
- microstructural characterization by EBSD of the printed specimens and final construction of a prototype;
- LCA analysis of the proposed process;
- contribution to communication and dissemination of the project achievements to scientific community, general public and industrial stakeholders;
- management of the overall project activities research activities
The main contributions of UNIFI unit will be:
- collection, preparation and characterization of ceramic based feedstocks in suitable form (morphology, grain size distribution,flowability) for SLS technology;
- characterization for mechanical and microstructural properties of the new eutectic systems manufactured by AM technology;
- contribution to communication and dissemination of the project achievements to scientific community, general public and industrial stakeholders
